    Sharing Music folder between users!

I know this is a long shot judging by the last time anyone posted in here, but I recently got a Mac and am trying to get used to it. I'm getting there and seem to have everything the way I like it now apart from this one niggle...

I like Music, so have amassed around 400GB of albums... I have this in my account and have quite happily import it into iTunes! The trouble is, the missus account cannot see, nor access the music under my account. I have tried placing it into the shared user folder, I have tried sharing the folder and assigning full permissions to the other account and still nothing!

Is there anyone who can suggest how to go about it, I don't want to use up 800GB of space because we both have to have the music under our own accounts...

    Thanks loads

I have googled it you sarcastic ****. I'm not a total idiot!

I have tried many of the 'solutions' given via google and none have offered me a decent way of doing so. I asked how people would suggest and you give me that bull**** link.

How was your LAN by the way?

    My LAN was good.

So you've googled it, and you've done the following:

"To listen to another account's music files

    Open iTunes.
From the iTunes menu, choose Preferences.
    Click Advanced.
Deselect the option to "Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library file."
    Click OK.
From the File menu, choose Add to Library.

Note: Windows users can also choose Add Folder to Library to add a folder of songs.
In the window that opens, navigate to the location where the other user's music is saved (the iTunes Media folder in this example).
    Click Open.
    "

    And what goes wrong?
