I just sold mine to my MIL, and then bought a new MacBook I really am not sure why she wanted my G4 seeing as she already has a MacBook Pro but hey! I aint arguing!

P.S it amuses me that Apple have MacBook in their dictionary as the spell check doesn't think its wrong, when clearly its not a word! hah

Get the MacBook, I have one and LOVE it! It's my best friend MacBook Air would mean she wouldn't have everything that she usually needs. Disc drive for example :/

Macbook Airs suck. If you are not in middle management only having it to show it off rather than do work on it then stick with the regular macbooks. (If you really have to have a Mac at all)

While I am an advocate of all things Mac, the MacBook Air isn't all that great. The size and style are all fine and well, but ONE USB port? No optical drive? I'm sure this computer is great for chic minimalists, but for hopeless geeks like me the lack of peripheral compatability make me want to cry.

Oh yeah... and it's way too expensive (but that's Apple for you!)

It's called the MacBook air for a reason.. Hinting at it's wireless capabilities..
It's not designed to be "your one and only computer".

PS everyone, New job at an AASP.. I'm back in the game in terms of Apple stuff.

but when a eee pc has more USB ports and expandibility theres a problem.

theres portability comprimise and theres just silly, where a usb cd/dvd drive will only work in the mac nothing else, cost a bomb and any other USB dv/dvd drive wont thats just poor.

The clue is in the name! (psst.. Air)

Also another handy thing that you also dont know about by the looks of it is wireless drive sharing. You dont need a external dvd.. just put your cd/dvds in your main machine and share them across.
And before you go (what about when im not at my main machine!11) well you shouldent buy a laptop with no dvd drive then.. lol
